The Belcher Button

Most Internet marketers understand and agree that the conversion rate of a sales page can be improved by testing many variations of the sales copy over a period of time and by implementing small changes that have been proven to increase sales.

However, most of us are not that fond of running numerous tests tweaking various site elements in the hope of increasing the conversation rate of our website.

Most “testers” keep their cards close to their chests so when someone is prepared to share his test results I always pay careful attention.

I read an interesting thread a couple of months ago on the Warrior Forum from someone that claimed using the text “Add To Cart” in his buy button helped him to increase sales. Unfortunately I was not able to find any evidence to substantiate this claim, until now…

Perry Belcher recently announced some very impressive test results on a buy button that has become known as “The Belcher Button” – It has been tested on hundreds of sites in many markets and is arguably the most tested buy button in the history of the Internet.

According to Perry he was able to increase conversion rates by between 35% and 320% above any other button he has ever tested. And, testing every element of the buy button in over 10,000 transactions means he has run more than enough tests to get a statistically significant result.

Now for the good news…

Perry has not also recorded a video about his test results, he has also agreed to make the button available to other internet marketers at no cost! Yeah, you can get it 100% free from his website. Simply copy, past, edit and use.

    Thanks Francios
I used this image on one of my sites once, and I know how popular it is browsing around on other marketing gurus sites :-)

Didn’t know it had a name until now.

    Hey Haroun,

It’s my pleasure. The button looks ugly as hell and you can’t miss it… But, it works! :)

Wishing you all of the very best!
